Additional Details and Handling Common Errors of Classify Data
Revisiting Classification
- Users can revisit the classification at any time. However, after the initial classification step, clicking Save and Next will prompt a warning that changes to Time, Dimension, and Dependent variables are not permitted.
Importing Classifications
Users can export a classification template to share the created group structure with others, ensuring consistency across multiple projects.
Upon re-importing the classification, the system checks for errors, such as duplicate group names across different levels.
Handling Common Errors
If a variable is misclassified, users can move it back to the unclassified section by selecting the Back to Select Measures option next to the main buckets.
Group names must be unique within each level; the same name cannot be used across different levels to avoid import errors. For example, "Television" cannot be a Level 3 group for both "Traditional" and "Digital" at Level 2.
User Interface Navigation
Users can expand and collapse subgroups to efficiently manage and visualize the classification structure.
The three-dot menu next to each bucket and group provides quick access to various actions, including clearing measures, expanding, collapsing, ungrouping, and moving variables.
Subgroup Creation and Management
Users can create subgroups up to six levels deep, allowing for detailed and organized classification of variables to accommodate complex data structures.
It is important to maintain logical parent-child relationships when creating subgroups to ensure a clear and accurate classification hierarchy.
